In an interview with the local pageantry’s spokesperson, Kaone Moremong, she explained that Mswane was crowned Miss South Africa 2021 and represented South Africa at Miss Universe 2021 and was the second runner up.

Moremong explained that the South African beauty will be in the country from April 14-16. “She is attending the first ever Miss Supranational Botswana Grand Finale which will be held on April 15, at the Royal Aria Convention Centre in Tlokweng.

It will be a historical moment as she will be crowning our first ever Miss Supranational Botswana winner.

It will be an historical moment for our country to have an international reigning queen grace our event and crown our first queen,” she said. She further explained that the Miss Supranational pageant was ranked amongst the top five major pageants with a huge following around the world. She said Mswane's presence at the grand finale would create a great opportunity for Botswana to be seen thus promoting the country and its brand.

Moremong also explained that they will be hosting an elegant evening of glitz and glamour as the top 12 contestants compete for the crown and title. She promised the revellers to expect to witness a never seen production in Botswana.

She added that the new queen's prizes are a brand new Haval Jolion car, a degree scholarship of her choice from Limkokwing University of Creative Technology, a monthly allowance, a wardrobe worth P50,000, hair salon services worth P50,000, beauty spa services worth P30,000, medical and health insurance, housing (a house to stay at) for her reign and a management team for her reign.

The international pageant is expected to take place on July 15, 2023 in Poland. Moremong further explained that their queen would leave at the end of June to join and compete with queens from almost 100 other countries.
