Rollers out to break Galaxy home record

Teams do not relish a trip to the mining town as Galaxy have maintained a 100% winning record at home this season. The team has won all eight games at the Galaxy Stadium.
But that record will be put to test tomorrow as Galaxy face record league champions, Township Rollers.
The two teams are expected to square off in front of a sold-out crowd in a 4pm kick-off. Defending champions, Gaborone United (GU) will watch the tie with a keen eye lending ‘support’ to their bitter blue neighbours. Galaxy is eight points away from GU and a win tomorrow will keep the Reds on the chase as the final third of the 30-game season takes off. The Galaxy Stars know they are playing their hoodoo side.
Popa have been the most successful team at the feared Galaxy Stadium. Rollers have recorded two wins at the venue while Galaxy are yet to beat the Blues in their backyard. The two teams have played to a draw on three occasions at the Galaxy Stadium. Head Coach Morena Ramoreboli has had just half a week with a full squad to prepare for the tie.
Galaxy had five players called up to the Zebras and Namibia’s AFCON squads. The attacking duo of Wendell Rudath and Thabang Sesinyi spent the last week on international assignments. The two players have contributed the majority of Galaxy's league goals this season and have become the most prolific pair in the completion. Rollers will visit Jwaneng in the midst of the off-field issues at the club. The Blues are in an unfamiliar sixth spot but have played two games less than fourth and fifth-placed Masitaoka and Security Systems, respectively. Despite an impressive away record against Galaxy, Popa would be worried about their own form on the road this season.
Rollers have won just twice away from home this season while playing to draws on five occasions and lost once. Popa come into the tie as a fragile side still trying to find rhythm under Portuguese gaffer Sergio Traguil. Meanwhile, Holy Ghost will look to continue with their impressive run as they face Security Systems at the Otse Stadium on Saturday afternoon. Eleven Angels and Nico United square off at the Francistown Council Stadium while second-placed Orapa United visit Sua Flamingoes at the Sowa Town Council Stadium.
The Molepolole Sports Complex will host a contest between Prisons XI and Police XI as Morupule Wanderers welcome BDF XI at the Serowe Sports Complex. On Sunday afternoon, GU travel to the Lobatse Sports Complex to take on Extension Gunners as Masitaoka and Mogoditshane Fighters battle for maximum points at the Molepolole Sports Complex. All the games will kick off at 4pm, while televised matches are to be played from 3:30pm.
