Defilement

The victim's' mother allegedly suspected she was pregnant, took her to Mookane clinic for tests which proved positive.

Confirming to be investigating the case, Dibete police station commander Superintendent Meshack Ranku said the matter was reported yesterday by the victim's mother.

"When interrogated, the victim disclosed to have been impregnated by an 18-year-old boy of Mosanta ward, Mookane. They were both taken to the clinic for some tests and questioning and then released pending further investigations into the matter," Ranku said.
