The passionate young woman aspires to be 'the next big thing' in music. Even though she had been more focused on traditional dance and song, the versatile talent intends to break into other music genres so that her work caters to diverse music fanatics.

Morweetsana told Arts & Culture she has enjoyed a stellar career over the years after she burst onto the scene in 2017 with Kuka La Setso as the group's female lead vocalist in two of the 'Keledi Ya Monna' album tracks. “I then decided to stand on my own and follow my passion. I released a double single in March 2021 titled 'Ba A Njela'.

I released an album in 2022 titled 'Lerato La Ditlhare' which has six tracks, 'Ba A Njela', 'Go Rileng', 'Moya Waaka', 'La Mpua Pua', 'Ndo Ngwila Mathata', 'Lerato La Ditlhare', and 'A Cry For Africa'. 'Lerato La Ditlhare' being the title track talks about black magic being used on a partner to make them stay in a relationship,” she said.

Morweetsana explained that she worked with three producers on the album. Producers, Kitso Mauchaza worked on 'Ba A Njela', 'Go Rileng', and 'Ndo Ngwila Mathata', Bullet Ketshabile on 'Moya Waaka' and 'La Mpua Pua', and on 'Lerato La Ditlhare' and 'A Cry For Africa' was Stone Bosekeng. She added that apart from the album, she had a single titled 'Tsala Yame' which Bosekeng produced.

Moreover, she said she is currently working on a house Kwasa album in which she has already featured artists such as DJ Fresh, Dedcoh Kgalagari Express, and Saison. She stated that she intends to collaborate with many other artists in the upcoming album. “I always say I am 'the next big thing' in the industry. Doing a different genre was to accommodate other people who do not go for Traditional music but love my voice,” she said.

Morweetsana said she was getting a positive response and receiving calls from fans as far as Rakops and other remote areas appreciating her music. She added that the feedback was one of the best feelings which have motivated her to work harder every day. “Being able to balance my personal life, music, and work is the main challenge, as I have to record at late hours.

The other challenge is paying producers as am not getting much money at shows and events. It is not always easy to pay from my pocket. However, I see huge growth in my brand. One of my biggest achievements includes being one of the Top 30 artists who were chosen for the Department of Broadcasting Services (BDS) Roadshow, which gave me great exposure,” she said.
