Speaking at the launch held on Saturday morning at the Grand Aria hotel in Gaborone, Kgare’s managing director, Tiny Kgatlwane said the Reakgathala Funeral Scheme is specifically designed to improve the welfare of individuals and groups with competitively priced funeral cover. It was a very educative setup attended by representatives of societies and organisations in the country. From as little as P18 one joins the Reakgathala Funeral Scheme with a maximum cover of P50,000 that can extend to P92,000. Individuals, societies, churches, associations among others are invited to join the newly birthed funeral scheme.

Kgatlhwane said the funeral scheme is accommodative to the clients need and it clearly addressees the individuals or group’s preferences. “We have invested in a system that would enable us to identify everyone. We have agreed with the underwriter on the payments (methods and packages). We have compliance officers that ensure that we meet the requirements of the regulator. This is one of the things that you should look at when you decide on a broker, for you to know that your money is in good hands,” she said. Kgatlwane also said Kgare has set up Reakgathala Funeral Scheme administrators across the country for easy access to anyone in the country. Kgare Insurance Brokers is a 100% citizen owned company and it has been in business since 2000. The company is one of the fastest growing insurance brokers in the country.

For her part, Metropolitan Botswana’ operations manager, Keamogetse Dabutha advised the gathering on the importance of committing to the monthly payments. She said it is common in the local setup that families struggle to bury their beloved ones due to forfeiture to pay the monthly subscriptions. “We will be dealing with all your claims from Kgare. We are structured in a very beautiful way to service you. We also have a department that looks in to your premiums. I must say we are very tight in terms of payments of premiums. I am happy that Kgare has come up with a plan to ease the burden with your monthly payments. At Metropolitan I must say you are in good hands and we will be working hand in hand with Kgare to ensure you have the best service,” Dabutha added.
