Moswaane is seen in a video showing the legislator being dragged out of Parliament by security guards and police officers following an order by Deputy Speaker Pono Moathodi, instructing security to "throw him out".

“I nearly lost my life in full view of Parliament after I was almost strangled by one of the security guards who were ordered to throw me out of the chamber. I am not against security guards’ duties but nearly choking me was something else. They nearly killed me and I am not happy about it. "There was a point when I was running short of breath when one of the security guards pressed his thumb hard against my throat. He nearly strangled,” Moswaane told MmegiOnline after this morning's incident.

Moswaane revealed to have tabled an urgent question to the Minister of Health and Wellness Edwin Dikoloti on the shortage of medication in public clinics and hospitals in Francistown, especially those for Non-Communicable Diseases.

He stated that before the session in Parliament, he called Moatlhodi to notify him of this urgent question without notice and faxed him the document as well as a copy to the minister. He said he expected the matter would be urgently dealt with but was shocked when he received a message from Moatlhodi informing him that he did not get the minister's approval.

“I told him that I did not need approval from the minister but to inform and give him details of my question. However, Moathodi told me that it cannot be dealt with today and I would be wasting their time. That did not sit well with me. I proceeded to tell him my question's importance as people are dying due to a lack of medications. He instead instructed security guards to throw me out of Parliament and one of them almost strangled me. I nearly died,” Moswaane said.
