Woman, 20, hangs herself in pit latrine

Kutlwano Police Station commander, Neo Serumola told The Monitor that they are investigating a suicide case involving the young woman. He said a neighbour found the deceased hanging from the rafters of a pit latrine in her parents’ home.
It is alleged that the neighbour was looking for her only to find the woman motionless. Serumola said the young woman did not leave a suicide note. He encouraged people to seek professional help when they are in crisis or troubled.
There is a growing concern over youngsters who take their own lives for unknown reasons. Early in January, there was yet another young woman who committed suicide in Serowe.
The 18-year-old girl who was still awaiting her Form Three results was reported to have hung herself from the rafters of the family house. The teenage girl did not leave a suicide note, but it was alleged that she had a misunderstanding with her parents.
