No Half Time Party open the year in style

Revellers came in large numbers from places like Gaborone, Kanye, Molepolole, Lobatse and other surrounding places to fill the Lobatse Plantation where the event was held. Even though January often proves to be a tough period for music events, the once small time house party that started in Selebi-Phikwe few years ago and eventually became one of the finest music festival in Lobatse, did not disappoint. According to the event organisers, the idea behind No Half Time Party is to give a chance to those who did not have time to have fun during the festive holidays as a result of work commitments.
The event started as a chilling session during the day with fun lovers on their camping chairs listening to the soulful music being dished out by various deejays. The great atmosphere allowed patrons to relax and interact with others. The atmosphere was also spiced up by the display of luxurious German cars, which appeared to be a hit with the patrons, something that gave the event a lift. As the sun set, it was now party time. Revellers left their camping chairs and cooler boxes and hit the dance floor. The master of ceremony of the night, T.H.A.B.O, did not disappoint those in attendance as he created a good ambience. DJs also had to make sure that they kept the mood of the revellers high by also playing the sing-along tunes. Even though most of the DJs on the line-up were not famous, they had the revellers eating from their palms.
The duo, DJs Garvi and Luke from Molepolole were a hit with the revellers while the popular DJ Sly also left the patrons asking for more. The event was amongst the best organised with the stage set up, lighting as well as the sound top notch.
