Botswana blessed with 56 Christmas babies

Dibonwa said: "The Ministry of Health received babies born on Christmas day across the country. The babies were received by their mothers and health staff with much joy and jubilation."

The Break down:

Nyangabgwe Referral Hospital(NRH) welcomed 15 babies on Christmas day. They comprised of eight girls and seven boys. In an interview with MmegiOnline NRH's senior Public Relations Officer, Irene Edward said the very first baby born on Christmas day was a premature baby who is currently under care and doing great. Edward said all of the babies and their mothers are in good health and the hospital was happy to have received 15 bundles of joy on Christmas day.

The Greater Gaborone DHMT received 13 babies on Christmas day, including one male from G-West Clinic, five from Lesirane Clinic being three males and two females.

Princess Marina Hospital received a total of seven babies being, five males and two females including twin delivery.

Kanye Adventist Hospital received a total of three babies, being two males and one female.

Mahalapye DHMT received from Sefhare Primary Hospital a total of three babies born, two females and one male.

Selibe Phikwe Primary Hospital welcomed a total of three babies, including a set of twins.

Kweneng DHMT: 11 babies, six females and five males.

Ngami DHMT: Three babies, two males and a female.

Bamalete Lutheran Hospital received a total of six, three males and three females.
