Teen dies in fatal accident on Christmas day

The fatal accident occurred near Tlholotsane River in Tonota in the early morning hours at around 4:30 am. Confirming to be investigating the case, Tonota police station commander, Superintendent Oteng Ngada said they do not know what really transpired, but the deceased was hit by a Toyota D4D driven by a 31-year-old Zimbabwean national.

He explained that the the driver revealed that he was on his way to Zimbabwe from South Africa.

'The deceased who sustained serious injuries as a result of the accident was rushed to Nyangabgwe Referral Hospital where he was confirmed dead on arrival by the doctors,' he said.
