According to the charge sheet, Tshegofatso Jack murdered Abraham Maigwa on November 30 in Newstands, Francistown.

Previously, Kutlwano Police Station Commander, Superintendent Neo Serumola said the accused murdered her boyfriend when she stabbed him with a sharp object following a misunderstanding at the deceased’s rented place.

Serumola added that since their investigations were still in their preliminary stage, he could not comment further on the matter. Jack made an application for bail when she appeared before Magistrate Wanani Ngebani, which was not opposed by the state.

Prosecutor Kenneth Bokgakga said the state was not opposed to bail because they have completed their investigations, save for some exhibits that were sent to the forensic laboratory for analysis.

As such, Bokgakga said the prosecution was not opposed to bail since there was no way the accused could interfere with investigations. Ngebani granted Jack bail on condition that she appears in court as and when required to do so and not be suspected of having committed a similar offence.
