Woman attacked, raped while walking home alone

No 6 District Officer Commanding, Senior Superintendent Thari Senwelo said the victim was attacked and raped at around 3am while walking home alone from an entertainment spot.

Narrating on the incident, Senwelo said the victim told the police that she was walking home alone when the known suspect came from behind, attacked and raped her. “Investigations into the matter are ongoing to locate the known suspect who is still at large.

The duo had spent the whole night entertaining themselves drinking alcohol at the same bar and the victim suspects that he (the suspect) might have seen her leaving and followed her,” he said.
