The Qatar Fashion United by CR Runway, which is one of the largest fashion shows in Qatar will feature the works of more than 150 designers representing 50 countries in an event held at one of the World Cup venues, the Ras Abu Aboud 974 Stadium.

Speaking briefly to Showtime before the show, Lesolle said he was invited to represent Botswana and showcase at the World Cup in September.

He said he was selected to showcase ‘ready-to-wear’ pieces.

“They chose me to be in category two, which is really about ready-to-wear, which is something in my DNA as a brand. Some are showcasing couture pieces and others are showcasing their interpretation of a soccer shirt. I happen to be in the category that defines who I am as a designer. They didn’t want much, they wanted one piece or it was up to you to make more to be shown today at the World Cup, so I sent two pieces to be showcased,” he said.

The show has a casting of over 80 models and celebrities with over 135 brands. Alongside fashion showcasing, the show will also feature performances by the likes of Post Malone, DJ Snake, Zakes Bantwini, and Khaled among others.

It is said that all proceeds from the show will go towards Education Above All, an organisation focused on providing education to underprivileged children in Qatar.
