In an interview with Arts & Culture, he said his late grandmother, who was his strong pillar since birth till he became the man he is today, inspired the eight-track album.

He added that all the songs in the album were based on his real life story and took people through his childhood days to the man he is today. Among the songs to look out for in the album are Khumagadi, Off-side and Impilo.

Speaking of Khumagadi, he said the album tells a story of how he was used by other people under darkness spells while Off-side which he features Jimy Jimaro of Rocking Stars, narrated of a story of how he was blackmailed by a friend who ended up breaking his trust.

Impilo, which means botshelo in Setswana, is a song that advises people to not forget their background and where they come from. The album was produced by Thapelo Wa Mojuta, Master Azart and Mr Zulu.

Emlake has two albums so far, which are Melody which was released in 2017 and Khumagadi released this year in August and seven singles. On Khumagadi, he featured Jimy Jimaro, Mr Zulu and Master Azart from South Africa.

He explained that before releasing the album he faced many challenges difficult such as finances and not being able to get studio times he wanted. Emlake has grown in the industry as he worked with lot of local artists and DJs. “The public now are way high supporting me since my Nkosi Sikelele single, which was released during lockdown which many thought it's Charma Gal.

I am the brand ambassador for GMK brand, which was established in Metsimotlhabe. I am also now working with Zwakala Brand clothing,” he said.
