The deceased was last seen by his neighbour on Sunday at around 9pm when they were both going to sleep. Dibete Police Station commander, Superintendent Meshack Ranku said to his surprise when waking up the following morning, the deceased's neighbour found him hanging from the rafters of his house and reported the matter to the police.

"He was rushed to Mahalapye hospital where he was confirmed dead on arrival by the doctors. Investigations into the matter are ongoing to establish what transpired because he did not leave any suicide note," he said.

Ranku further pleaded with members of the public to seek help when troubled than resorting to taking their own lives. He encouraged public members to involve a third party or talk to social workers, Dikgosi, or even the police.
