Galaxy coach explains Brown’s continued absence

Ramoreboli was speaking in a post-match interview after Galaxy’s slim victory against Eleven Angels at the Obed Itani Chilume Sports Complex. Galaxy won the match, which was played on Saturday by a solitary goal.
Brown blossomed under Ramoreboli last season and established himself as a key figure in the team. He even earned a national team call-up. He has, however, been a notable absentee from the team this season.
He travelled with Galaxy to Francistown on Saturday but did not feature in the match day squad. “We have three top goalkeepers and the one that started the season was Anthony Gouws. After the Holy Ghost match, we brought in Karabo (Gaolaolwe).
He has played three matches and won all of them,” said Ramoreboli. He further said: “Football people will say why fix it when it is not broken. If you want continuity and consistency, you will avoid making many changes.
He (Brown) knows how much we value him, but at the moment someone else who has been tasked to do the job is doing well. Brown will get his opportunity.” Ramoreboli could also not hide his frustrations about the state of the pitch on Saturday.
The poor state of the grass at the stadium was the highlight of the match. All the two teams struggled to exchange passes owing to the uneven grass covering the pitch. The frustrations of official from both sides about the poor status of the pitch were visible. “It made it difficult for us to connect passes. We could not play to our strength because of the poor pitch.

Meanwhile, Angels coach Seemo Mpatane was equally impressed by his side. “We were very unlucky today. We hit the post twice before they scored their opening goal. They had their backs against the wall for the better part of the match.
This match highlighted that we are improving. We are not a bad team. We will improve and start picking points.” Added Mpatane: “I think the visitors got more than what they had bargained for.
They came here with the hope of scoring many goals.” Benson Mangolo scored the only goal of the match from close range on the 37th minute. He was set up by Namibian Wendell Rudath after a good work on the left side of the Angels goal area.
