The local Kwaito group was celebrating its 23 years anniversary at the Molapo Piazza to commemorate the years that they have traversed together as a unit in the industry.

However, what the Eskimos expected to go out as a memorable night for them did not go as planned. The show failed dismally to pull the crowd attracting just less than 300 people in attendance.

Letlhogonolo Dichabe, popularly known as Babe Police tried to keep the small crowd entertained and uplift their mood with her high energies as the MC for the night.

While Maatla Basha also got on stage, it was only for a little bit of time and left the stage after performing only one song.

The revellers expected to see performances from the likes of Vee mampeezy, ATI as well as Hey Nyeenaah but they were nowhere to be found despite being included on the line up. While Vee was at Gantsi doing the activation for his event dubbed the “Last Man Standing” many other artists that were booked for the event also did not show their faces.

Rapper, Ozi F teddy who was booked on the night was dragged off stage by the security when he tried to perform on the night. He was escorted out just when he was about to give his performance.

The organizers of the show, Eskimos also took long to get onto the stage, and many people left before they could even see them after running out of patience. One attendee revealed to The Monitor that he regrets coming to the event and he feels he could have gone somewhere else where he could have enjoyed spending his last money. “I seriously regret spending my money on the ticket and coming to this event.

This event did not really live up to many expectations I had in mind. I really wasted my time coming here,” the attendee said. Performances from Mingo Touch, Stompie, Scavenger, Makau and BJB, however, kept the small crowd entertained.
