The Kgatleng giants have been, for months, embroiled in an ownership battle between the company, Mochudi Centre Chiefs (Pty) Ltd and the Mochudi Centre Chiefs society.

The two parties’ war reached the courts of law to determine the legitimate club leadership with the club’s training and match day venue, River Plate ground locked up by the society.

Last week, both factions were called before the Kgatleng Regional Football Association (KRFA) and decided to resolve the matter. The company, led by former Chiefs executive committee member, Ramocha Tsieng had previously penned a six-year management deal with car dealership, Dirang Express.

Dirang Express as per Mmegi Sport sources has shown intent to sue Tsieng and the MCC (Pty) Ltd for P6 million citing a breach of contract. “Our people should be mindful that contractual agreements should be honoured and respected.

In this way, Dirang Motors feels that Chiefs have failed to honour their contractual agreement.

The company has since shown an intent to sue, they are awaiting advice from their legal team,” an insider told this publication. Dirang Express officials could not confirm nor deny the reports. “We cannot give a comment on the matter.

We do not have an answer to your questions. We have now closed on any comment about the matter of Chiefs. We do not want to say anything to the media that would legally come back to bite us,” the source said.

Mmegi Sport has been further informed that Dirang Express has not officially terminated the six-year agreement with MCC (Pty) Ltd. “There is bad blood between the Chiefs (Pty) Ltd and Dirang Express.

Some of the members are not even on talking terms at the moment. But the six-year deal with Dirang Express remains in place. The ownership matter is also yet to be resolved by the courts.” At press time, Mmegi Sport could not get a comment from Tsieng.

Sources said MCC (Pty) Ltd officials were locked in a meeting over the issue by Thursday afternoon. Meanwhile, Chiefs announced a transport partnership with DC Tours yesterday. "We introduce our transport and logistic partner. Further information will be shared in due course.

Let’s welcome DC Tours," the club said on its Facebook Page. Meanwhile, Township Rollers have penned a three-year deal with electronic gadgets company, OPPO to reward players during matches.

Rollers, in a statement, said OPPO will reward the team's man-of-the-match for all the home games with an OPPO mobile phone and cash incentive.
