Ethics Committee absolves Magagane, BFA disappointed

The Botswana Football Association (BFA) said it will respect the Ethics Committee's decision. “As the BFA, we respect and abide by the rule of law that governs football and respectfully accept the verdict by the Ethics Committee, although we are disappointed. We trust and believe that their decision is informed by what is best for the game. Going forward, we would like to urge all football bodies inclusive of teams and officials to refrain from unethical behaviour as this tarnishes the image of the game that we all love,” the BFA said in a statement.
“ Football is meant to unite and reconcile people and we should keep it that way for the betterment and growth of our local game. And it must be known that the association will continue to, without fear or favour, continue to bring to the fore those that it believes are committing acts that put the anew of football into dispute and anyone that does so should face the law,” the statement further reads.
The BFA has urged football leaders to be exemplary and uphold the standards set by the BFA Code of Ethics, Code of Conduct and FIFA statutes.
