Kabo Mereyabo, Abel Gaolatlhwe, Trainos Machokocha, Joseph Kesenye, Edwin Tumisang Kgannyetsile and Boago Phuti are all accused of stealing meat packages from BMC.

Their charge sheet reads in part that on October 26 at the BMC plant in Lobatse, acting jointly with a common purpose without claim of right, they stole four boxes of fillet meat, one box of stripling, one box of pet food, and one box of rib-eye all to the total value of P21,311.16 being the property of BMC.

The workers, security guards and cooks at BMC, did not waste the court’s time and pleaded guilty during their arraignment this week before the Lobatse Chief Magistrate Gofaone Morweng.

The six men were then granted bail of P500 each and will appear again on November 22 for the presentation of facts of the case. In their next mention, the investigating officer is expected to take the stand to explain to the court exactly how the six stole from BMC. The case continues.
