The festival, which featured Congolese superstar and Rhumba legend Koffi Olomide, was tipped to be one of the biggest shows this year, but it failed to live up to that hype.

The event turned out to be a dull affair riddled by a myriad of problems. It would seem like the event organisers had not made calculated decisions from the onset as there were complaints that the tickets price at P300 standard was too steep for ordinary partygoers. Therefore, the show did not pull the crowd that was expected.

With such a global appeal, one would think Koffi Olomide would pull a full house on his own, Charma Gal as well, but that was not the case on Saturday night. Without comparing this event with others that have taken place at the National Stadium before, the festival was far off the mark in terms of crowd.

There were plenty complaints from the attendants, including from those who had bought the P1,500 VIP ticket as some alleged that they did not get what they paid for in terms of value.

According to the event schedule released days before the festival, Koffi Olomide was allocated a three-hour set, beginning at 12 midnight. However, his performance lasted just over an hour, and left the stage while fans were asking for more. Remember, Koffi Olomide was the star attraction whom many revellers had paid to see perform on the night and leave the show satisfied.

Yes, for the time they were on stage, Koffi Olomide and his Quarter Latin band did thrill the fans, but the short cameo was not what the people expected. Charma Gal performed for the longest of time with a live band.

She was in her element. Donning an elegant red dress, the Sekuta hitmaker served fans her best performance. She performed songs from her old albums to the latest ones. Several artists, including ATI also did thrill the fans with their performances. While artists tried their best to entertain the fans, the event failed to live up to the expected hype.
