The event billed for November 4, 2022 at Game City Roof Top in Gaborone, is headlined by top South African Afro Tech DJ, producer and remixer, Caiiro. Afro Tech is one of the fastest growing music genres, as such it is a no brainer that the organisers of the multi disciplinary event, GIMC saw it fit to rope it to their stable as one of the events.

Afro Tech is a subgenre of house music and infuses tribal, deep and soulful house sounds. In an interview with Arts & Culture, the founder of GIMC, Thapelo Fish Pabalinga said preparations for the Afro Tech 3.0 are going well. “We are just waiting on the date of the show to roll out the event. It will be a production like never seen before,” said Pabalinga.

He said AfroTech, while it is not easy to promote a show without a performing artist, that is not the case with the Afro Tech 3.0. He explained that this is so because Afro Tech gives a different feel and taste to the usual scene of events. “The (Afro Tech) shows have done very well. The first two that we did in May and July were a hit. They brought the heat on right in the middle of winter,” he added. On the night, Caiiro will be joined by Vitoto, Teaz, Jam-n-I, Romeo, Benny T, Casper the DJ and Hapex Guru. The event promises fireworks, with some of the best Afro Tech DJs in the line-up. Pabalinga said the GIMC is a trusted brand of quality, as such people know what to expect. He said they deliver what their followers want and love. “This is a Hennessy party, so come party with the hottest bev brand and the hottest DJs in the Afro Tech space, it will be wild.”

Tickets for the event are on sale at Webtickets and Super Spar. The tickets sell for P200 standard, P1,500 Gold Circle, which includes a bottle of Hennessy and mixers and the best seat in the house, the VVIP sells for P3,000. It also includes a bottle of Hennessy VSOP.
