Miss Hope pageants crown four queens

The pageantry had four categories namely Little Miss Hope, Pre-teen Hope, Teen Hope and Miss Hope.

The queens include Amantle Pheto who won Little Miss Hope; Pre-teen category won by Katlego Matheakgomo, Teen Hope won by Kgarebe Champi and Miss Hope won by Bonolo Kgakolo. Amongst the queens, Matheakgomo scooped a number of individual awards such as talent, community service, popularity and people’s choice.

The first and second princesses for all categories in no particular order are Larona Pheto, Marang Moapare, Keamogetse Tshuma, Rynnah Tsie, Gaone Karema and Tshegofatso Kgabeng. Phatsima Institutions will be sponsoring the winners as follows; Pheto will walk away with a full term break through tutorials worth P2,250, pre-teen and teen queens will get a year tutorials worth P9,350 while the first and second princesses earned themselves a bulk of five subjects a year worth over P1,600. Meanwhile, Miss Hope will get away with a scholarship from Gaborone Institute of Professional Studies (GIPS) and a trip to Goo-Moremi Gorge.

All the queens for Pre-teen, Teen and Miss Hope will be contesting at Cape Town for international pageants. Above all, the girls looked beautiful in their evening gowns. Each of them showcased their personality through their designs, while others went for simple but elegant dresses, yet some wore sophisticated yet gorgeous outfits.

Upcoming fashion designers who were also given an opportunity to showcase their talents were also rewarded for that. The designers that took part in the show included Lorato Diseko whose brand name is Lora Ditt, Constance Lizzy Boaki, Olorato Charles of Amil Creations, Lydia Olie of Preacher Bae Creations, Lesogo Mokgwa, Hazel Gareobone and Livicia Visagie.

However, Olie whose designs were breathtaking scooped a price that entails Andasonia Hotel two nights voucher as a token of appreciation. It includes food and transportation.

All the six other designers will be given token of appreciation vouchers worth P150 and a 10% discount when buying fabrics from Timba. In their first parade, they wore traditional attires and recited Setswana poems about themselves. For the national attire parade, they showcased different nations attires such as Chinese, Indian, Zulu and local traditional attires in the form of matlalo and German print.
