Ruling on Chiefs’ case to be delivered today

Two parallel bodies, the society and the company currently run the club, leaving the multitudes of Magosi supporters confused ahead of the start of the new season.
The fallout began last month when the new interim committee that runs the society, led by chairperson, Victor Kobe made revelations that the transformation from the society to the company was not properly done.
The committee from the society side argues that some processes or stages were bypassed during the transformation process and wants the company dissolved. Officials from the company, Mochudi Centre Chiefs (Pty) Ltd on the other hand, believe everything has been done properly.
The case was heard at Lobatse High Court on Wednesday but both camps were only dealing with whether it should be treated as an urgent matter.
The ruling on whether the case will now continue on an urgent basis will be delivered today.
Mochudi Centre Chiefs (Pty) Ltd has been cited as the first respondent while Ramocha Tsieng, Molefi ‘Sexton’ Kowa, Edwin ‘Luxury’ Mothulatshipi (former chairperson) and the Company and Intellectual Property Authority (CIPA) as the second, third, fourth, and fifth respondents respectively. The club is also currently running under two parallel social media pages.
The company has been in charge of the club’s preparations for next season including the recruitment and release of players as well as the organisation of pre-season friendly matches.
Tomorrow, the club will be involved in a one-day football tournament that also includes Extension Gunners, Holy Ghost and Digodi. The tournament is scheduled to take place at Holy Ghost Park in Mmopane with Holy Ghost taking on Digodi in the first match at 8.30am before Chiefs face Gunners at 10.30am. The final will take place at 4.30pm.
