Coca-Cola frontline portfolio activations manager, Caroline Nyadzayo said the rebranding from Source to Bonaqua is part of CCBB’s move to offer quality products that are easily marketable and identifiable in line with consumer choices.

“We are delighted to announce that Source water brand is now rebranded to Bonaqua on the outside, keeping the same great source on the inside that offers Batswana that refreshing taste for daily hydration.

“Our Source water is still locally prepared and blended to perfection using unique salts and an advanced filtration system to give it that unique and refreshing taste,” Nyadzayo said.

She further said the bottled water is branded Bonaqua in most global markets where the label is recognised as a sign of quality. This standardisation will help local consumers and tourists, who are an integral component of Botswana’s economy, to easily distinguish and identify the brand from other products due to Bonaqua’s global visual identity and well-established trademarks that ensure a consistent brand experience.

The Source bottled still water is a locally produced product that resonates with the #PushaBotswana national marketing initiative, which seeks to promote Botswana as a destination of choice for investment, tourism, work, and residence.

“Bonaqua Source water carries the Botswana Pride Mark as an endorsement of Brand Botswana’s essence which is ‘Pride and Progress,'” Nyadzayo said.

The rebranding exercise is just the beginning of the CCBA’s planned investments that will also see the company upgrade its production line for innovation.

Source is one of the only two bottled water brands certified by the Botswana Bureau of Standards (BOBS-ISO), confirming the product’s adherence to expected quality standards.
