Police officer kills colleague, turns gun on himself

 

The incident occurred yesterday at the police officers' workstation at the veterinary gate near Serule.

According to a press statement from the police, the 34-year-old male constable shot and killed his 36-year-old female colleague using his service rifle. The officer further shot at and wounded another officer, 56, and finally turned the gun on himself.

Police spokesperson, Dipheko Motube said, "Botswana Police Service is investigating an incident in which a police officer fatally shot his colleagues at Sese Veterinary Gate near Serule village before turning the gun on himself yesterday (Friday) evening."
