Dr Mbua arrived at Sir Seretse Khama airport yesterday (Wednesday 14 September) with his wife, Prophetess Lydienne Mbua and seven other American citizens. They were coming from Revival City in Walburg, Texas where they are currently developing the vision God has laid out.

Unveiling Revival City during an interview, Dr Mbua said it is a project that is going to cater for community service. “We are going to be building a revival centre, housing to accommodate guests, the less-privileged, ministers of the Gospel, missions office, Bible college, Christian media house, facilities for children, restaurants and many other exciting features for our guests attending our monthly programs at Revival City in Texas,” he stated.

Upon arrival, they were welcomed with ululations and shouts of joy from members of Rhema and the general public at Sir Seretse Khama Airport. Maswailathota Traditional Dance gave a sterling performance. “I’m happy to be back in Botswana. I’ve been looking forward to coming here.

Botswana will always be my home,” said Dr Mbua, adding that people should expect a powerful move of God at the conference.

The conference is themed ‘The gathering of sons and daughters,’ which the prophet describes as a heart-to-heart encounter with men and women that he has raised in the Lord throughout his ministry of over 20 years. “We have a passion to see people saved, healed and delivered and we are inviting members of the community to come and experience the grace and love of God,” he stated. Expected at the official opening ceremony this evening is a list of dignitaries from Botswana government among them the mayor of Gaborone His Worship Austin Abraham, Batlokwa Deputy Paramount Kgosi Motsholathebe Gaborone, Gaborone South Councillor Honourable Oarabile Motlaleng and former legislator Shirley Segokgo-Molosiwa.



Botswana’s popular Gospel artist and Christian comedian King David is expected perform at the ceremony. Kimberly Matheakgomo, the Little Miss Junior Icon and her sister Katlego Matheakgomo, who is Miss Hope finalist will mesmerize the audience with a spiritual dance. There is going to be a lot of music and dance. The conference has attracted other ministers of the Gospel from Botswana, South Africa, Eswatini and the US.

According to Dr Mbua, the US delegation, which comprises of mostly young people under the age of 40, will have a free entry youth empowerment talk-show on Friday afternoon at the church premises in Tlokweng. The church will also donate food hampers to the elderly in Tlokweng and Thamaga. In Thamaga on Monday evening, Dr Mbua and the US delegation will be inaugurating the newly-built 300 seater church. Village leadership including member of Parliament and the Chief are expected to grace the event.

Also scheduled is a trip to Ratholo next week Wednesday where the groundbreaking project for another church building will take place in the presence of area councillors and traditional leadership before having a church service later on in the evening.

To further enjoy their visit, the delegation will join the church at the gala dinner at the Grand Palm this Saturday and a bush braai at Mokolodi Nature Reserve next week Tuesday.
