Mother ‘murderer’ sent for psychiatric assessment
He is alleged to have thrown his deceased mother's body inside a pond.
Bokamoso Setlhabi (32) who allegedly killed his mother, Omphemetse Dineo Setlhabi (57) has been ordered by court to undergo a psychiatric assessment as there are suspicions that he may not be of sound mind.
The accused was arraigned for the murder of his mother before Palapye Magistrate's Court on Tuesday. Reached for an interview, No: 16 Officer Commanding Senior Superintendent Reuben Mphoeng confirmed that the court had ordered the accused person to undergo psychiatric assessment and arrangements have been made by prosecution for him to be taken for an evaluation at Jubilee Hospital in Francistown.
