The Kutamogore native who works as a Food & Nutrition and Home Management Teacher in Palapye is ready to stake his claim with his new music. Famed for his single Round Pack Makgorwane, his album has 12 tracks with a variety of flavours.

The album was recorded at Uncle's Touch Studios but was produced by different producers like Dlala BW, DJ Bino, Uncle Touch, Robert Dargie, Rawkbouy and Bullet Ketshabile.

He said the album will be launched soon as he is still sorting out logistics. “I am a social commentator and most of the songs in the album are actually inspired by things I see happening in the society and matters that affect people's daily lives. I worked with heavy weight artists such as A.T.I, Charma Gal, Dr Tawanda, Kalahari, Shumba Ratshega, Madala and EV Keys.

“For instance in track number four, Sponono featuring A.T.I, we were trying to embrace and appreciate the beauty of a lady to show some love to her. A.T.I, as he is well known for playing smart with words in both Setswana and English, made the song catchy and I merged him eloquently in Kalanga.

It is a mega song, which will one day hit the international market,” he said. One of his songs, Kgwedi E Fedile, featuring Shumba Ratshega, cautions the public especially the youth on too much alcohol intake and failure to follow traffic rules, which leads to road accidents that claim lives. His other song Ga Go Restege featuring Mingo Touch and Walkman is one of the songs to look out for.

Tarz-B said he writes and arranges all his songs.

However, he said there were exceptions when he collaborates with other artists and write the songs together with his direction as to how he want the song to sound and appear. He, however, explained that with Sponono, A.T.I came up with the concept and he followed it. He further explained that he was different from other local artists because he is versatile and does not rap in a complex way and does not just focus on the music style but jumps on different beats be it Hip Hop, Kwasa, Kwaito, House or Afrobeat.

He explained that he wanted to be a locally and intentionally recognised brand in a few years to come. However, he explained that he had a few fans that had applauded his music. He also said he was currently working with two big brands in Uganda, Eddy Kenzo and Sheebah Karungie, as well as another hot upcoming Nigerian artist DIVADii on his future offering. He said he proposed RudeBoy of P-Squre for collaboration and was responding positively.

He said he would love to work with Makhadzi on one of the singles he plans on releasing very soon. “Being a teacher by itself is a big challenge as it is not easy for me to get to the media like other artists.

One major challenge is lack of sponsorships and support from our local companies and government itself because they are mostly interested in giving money to the already established and rich artists,” he said.
