You can also get in touch with them by sending a WhatsApp text to +26773689369, to which you are guaranteed a swift response. I have recently encountered a few businesses with WhatsApp line call to actions, but who hardly respond in real time.

It is a little counterproductive as a business to setup comms on an instant contact platform and fail to utilise it as customers expect. I believe WhatsApp messages are meant to be real time, le fa bangwe le itshepile di blue tick, tse le kgonang go di tima di sala di le ditshetlha mme motho a bone molaetsa, ija!...lol. Especially in food and other service orientated organisations.

They could learn a thing or two from Bils. They offer event catering services upon request, and have catered events such as birthday parties, weddings, baby showers, and most notably they were a main feature at the Stay Well Hotel events.

If you are feeling like a braai day and you don’t feel like doing all the admin it involves, go gotsa mollo, overnight marinate, the dishes etc... then pick up your phone and place an order. These guys have a menu that switches up daily.

Literally every day you have an opportunity to excite your palette with some unique dishes and sides. I had an opportunity to talk to head cook who explained some of inspirations for sides such as his Tsatsiki and Italian Chakalaka.

He has an interesting take and edge that he confidently brings to the menu, making the food so much more appealing than your standard street food. Bo celery salad, healthy unconventional vegetables and such, are on the menu.

I appreciated this a lot as some veggies are just so easily overlooked and underrated, but this chef brings them to life. He includes the likes of baby marrow and patty pan in the Chakalaka, which are wonderful surprise additions.

Some of their best sellers are a mouth-watering hake and chicken special, served with an amazing lemon and herb sauce, as well as one-of-a-kind oxtail. The best of all is their flame-grilled experiences followed by the Friday specials.

They are to die for! From the Pork combo which was my selection, all the way to the meat fest special, which my fellow reviewer indulged in. I wish the Pork Combo was different pork cuts.

The Pork combo included beef, which I wasn’t expecting, and if you’re a follower of this food segment you’d know by now that I only eat white meat. I had questioning remarks for the manager and one of the attendants about how they’ve named a dish Pork combo, and instead of combining different cuts of pork (you know, ribs, sirloin, chops) as I would have expected, they combined it with a completely different type of meat. Nonetheless, I was quickly assisted with a swap to chicken and my husband quipped that the word combo in a braai irrefutably means di nama tse di sa tshwaneng.

I still stand my ground. The chargrilled pork was tender and was seasoned really well, served alongside potato wedges that were smothered in a delicious sauce. I would have loved for them to be grilled a little longer for a crisper bite.

I asked about the Italian Chakalaka and they said it was spicy, that it had a real kick. If you are not well acquainted with chillies. Don’t do it! It’s a kick and a slap..lol.
