“It was shot in June at G-West MaFresh and Phakalane, then officially dropped on August 5, 2022. The music video basically portrays the life of a young growing artist in Botswana with big dreams.

I picked MaFresh because it is a beautiful place and it is not everyone who has thought of shooting a music video there, and for Phakalane I wanted to blend life at the suburbs with Kasi life. With the help of my manager, owner of MaFresh and the family’s support, the plan was a success as Mr Slade pulled through with a quality video,” he said.

However, this promising upcoming artist did not end there. After Go Hard he also released a few singles and did some collaborations. Last month he dropped Bestie, Treasure and Hesitate featuring TTS.

He then got an opportunity to work with Uber Prync 3G, TmLee and TSS on another single dubbed Pray produced by him. He said he was currently working on a few songs with Flacko, Wawa Homeless, Babe Lotter and Kate BW.

He added that he also has another partnership deal coming soon with Sessions With Caiphus. Moreover, he explained that ever since he made a step into the music business, the energy has been nothing but positive.

He added that the numbers of his followers were slowly growing, which inspired him to ‘Go Harder’ on his craft. He boasted that his music was addictive saying if a person listens to one of his songs the message is going to stick in their heart and melody in their mind.

He explained that was because all his songs are relatable making him different from other artists. “Everyday there is a challenge in the game. Taking risks and making sacrifices for your craft is not as easy as it sounds.

As artists, we do not have the same background and goals. Mine is to change the situation at home even for people around me and that is a challenge because it does not happen over night and through that process, doors are slammed on my face. In the next years I want to see myself so big to a point where I would not have to introduce myself.

I want my music to touch the world and no matter how long it takes, it is going to happen,” he confidently said. Kaey Maxx said even though he started producing and writing songs at tender age of 14 years, he was not really much into Hip Hop but was putting more focus on drawing and dance moves. Things changed when a new Hip Hop wave hit South Africa and later spread locally.

He said he got addicted to the music and was looking up to new Hip Hop artists of the time in the likes of Nasty C, A Reece, Kid Tini, Emtee and local artists like Veezo View. His new love for Hip Hop got him writing songs with the help of Crust E. That is when his journey in the local Hip Hop industry began.
