The duo’s uncle, Gabathuse Molelu revealed in an interview on the sidelines of court appearance of accused persons in the case at the Broadhurst Magistrate’s Court last week Thursday.

The accused are Oageng Moagi Letsholo, 46, Leufty Gaolemogwe Kosie, 47, Kebaleboge Ntsebe, 42, and the deceased’s husband, Outlwile Aston, 48.

“The children are back to school. The 11-year-old and six-year-old were with their mother when the incident occurred,” Molelu told The Monitor.

“They started going to school this week (last week) and we are doing everything as a family to make sure that they receive emotional support.”

Asked if the children are coping, he said it is too early to tell though they have started their sessions with a social worker.

“It is early days, it will take a bit of time for that to be addressed and for them to be back to their normal routines, but we are doing everything we can as a family to make sure that they receive psychological support,” Molelu said.

The children find themselves in the throes of trauma following the events of July 14 at Magampane ward in Kopong village when their mother, Barulaganye Aston’s life was savagely taken.

Together with a common purpose the accused persons allegedly murdered Barulaganye who was a teacher by profession. Then, after killing her, the suspects are said to have used the victim’s blood to scribe a message that read ‘277 Die’ on her bedroom wall.

The alleged killer(s) are said to have gained entry into the deceased’s home through a window after managing to destroy the said window and attacking her while she was asleep.

Barulaganye’s murder has left the whole nation reeling in shock as it was alleged that some of her body parts were missing as she had been butchered.

As the case has caught national attention, multitudes of people flocked to Broadhurst Magistrate’s Court and scrambled the front row seats of the courtroom when the quartet appeared for mention last week.
