Ndori through to finals, Makwala out

Ndori clocked 44.94 to finish behind Olympic champion, Kirani James who registered 44.74.

Ndori had stormed to the semi-final with a personal best (PB) of 44.87. He is no stranger to the big stage as he was part of the men’s 4x400m relay team that scooped a bronze medal at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

While Ndori flew into the final, it was a bad day in the office for Isaac Makwala as he crushed out of the competition finishing last in his heat with a time of 46.04. Makwala was in the same heat with South African, Wayde van Niekerk.

It was his last individual championship as he now shifts attention to assisting the men’s 4x400m relay team. The relay heats are on Saturday morning.
