This year’s US-Africa Business Summit, hosted under the theme 'Building Forward Together', will explore the US and African public and private sectors’ renewed commitment to building stronger trade and investment ties during unprecedented health and economic challenges.

The US-Africa Business Summit serves as a platform for African and US private sector and government representatives to engage on key sectors including agribusiness, energy, health, infrastructure, trade facilitation, Information Communication and Technology (ICT), and finance.

The summit participants will network with key private sector and government officials, thereby exploring new business opportunities, meeting potential business partners, and forging new business deals. It also serves as an opportunity to shape and advocate for effective US-Africa trade and investment policies and framework.

BITC will host a ‘Doing Business in Botswana’ seminar on July 21, where international delegates will be appraised on opportunities that exist in the country and guide on how interested parties can do business with Botswana.

BITC will also host a mini-Botswana exhibition to showcase local products. Botswana’s participation at the summit opens high-level interactions between the US and government officials, targets business-to-business engagements, leads to creation through targeted investor interactions, nurtures relations and stimulates more trade relations between the US and Botswana, and exposes and promotes Botswana products.
