VTM gain promotion

They finished at the top of the group defeating UB Hawks 2-1 yesterday in the top of the table clash played at the Royal Aria Stadium.
Before yesterday’s clash, UB Hawks were sitting at the top of the table with nine points from three matches.
They needed just one point in the last match to gain promotion while VTM had to win to ensure that they finish at the top. However, VTM showed mental strength where it mattered most to finish the play-offs with 10 points from four matches.
In another play-off match played yesterday, Debswana Young Stars played to a 1-1 draw with Mochudi United. Following VTM’s promotion, the Debswana First Division South league promises to be highly contested next season. Mochudi Centre Chiefs have already set the league ablaze through their crowd pulling instincts.
The league has also welcomed two relegated sides, Notwane and Gilport Lions, making next season one of the most anticipated.
