AELC four-day programme hits the cities

The Gaborone conference will run from July 11 to 12 while the Francistown one will be held on July 14 and 15, both under the theme ‘Economic Transformation and Great Reset: Advancing through economic growth challenges, gender and youth inclusivity for a better Africa post-COVID-19 era’.

The four-day programme both in Gaborone and Francistown is designed to steer conversations that are aimed at building a self-sufficient African economy.

Through the business seminars and expos, AELC wants to come up with better platforms for entrepreneurs, business organizations, and business leaders to establish business linkages.

The event's co-founder and president, Heinrich Hafeni said they aim to double trade in the next five years by working with a multisectoral approach.

“We have just successfully held the Namibia Business Seminar and Expo in May, and we look forward to a successful engagement with Batswana entrepreneurs and policymakers here in Botswana in the coming weeks as well. Collectively, we will contribute to the increase of trade in Africa,” he said.

The AELC hopes to shine a light on innovators of today and aspiring businesspeople of Africa and to provide the much-needed guidance that will ensure that goals are turned into an African reality.

“Through this organization, we envision an Africa that is known for transforming its mineral wealth into generational wealth for its entire people, an Africa that is leading ICT innovations, an Africa as a forerunner in pharmaceuticals, global food security, and a crime-free Africa, one that is free of poverty,” Hafeni added.

AELC is an exclusive platform bringing together entrepreneurs, policymakers, and business communities to form linkages and access market creation across the African continent.
