Confirming the missing person report that was filed on Saturday, Tlokweng’s acting police station commander, Superintendent Botswelelo Pusoeng said the girl’s parents opened the case after not seeing her for days.

Asked why it took the family five days to report the matter, Pusoeng said when interrogated by the police her parents revealed that she usually goes away but later comes back home.

However, this time around she went away for days without a trace, he said.

“After not coming home for days her family got worried and opened the case. The girl was schooling at Matlala Junior Secondary School and was last seen in her school uniform,” Pusoeng said.
