Tlokweng man accused of defiling eight-year-old

It is alleged that the young man was caught with the young girl in a compromised position in an alleyway.
The suspect was arrested and handed over to the police by a mob that went after him for raping the minor.
Confirming the investigation, Tlokweng’s acting police station commander, Superintendent Botswelelo Pusoeng said the incident has left residents reeling in shock.
“It is alleged that the suspect had sent the little girl to buy him matches and get herself mabudula. When she returned, he took her to the passage where he is suspected to have sexually assaulted her,” Pusoeng explained.
“Even though we are currently waiting for a doctor’s report to confirm whether the suspect sexually assaulted the little girl or not, we have since charged him with rape.” Pusoeng added the suspect is likely to be arraigned before Extension II Magistrate’s Court to face a single count of rape today.
