The last time people got to enjoy the disco music and attended the annual disco nights was back in 2019 before the COVID-19 pandemic hit the world.

People were elated to see that the disco annual event is now back after so many years, as many pulled up to the show in high numbers and even dressed the part with some vintage clothes.

Though the event was dubbed the 70s and 80s, it also attracted young people. They were all in high spirits and got to feel the nostalgia of the 70s and 80s time.

The disco night had a great line up in place, it entailed great artistes, Trax, Lefatshe, Choto, Dino Bravo, Mr O, Vinny Da Vinci, Kuchi, Hai Chang, and Crispin The Drummer. Each artist was given an hour time slot.

As soon as the artiste took to stage and started off their performances, people went on to the dance floor jamming to the songs, dancing and singing their lungs out. “It feels so good to be back here once again after so long without the disco event (70’s and 80’s) due to COVID-19, and all I can say is the event did live up to my expectations and I did enjoy my time here today.

I got to party to the songs I grew up listening to and I relate with them very well”, said one attendee of the event. Some other attendee revealed that the event did tick all the boxes correct but suggested that maybe the organisers could cut some minutes of the performing artistes as one hour is quite a long time to be listening to one artist. One of the big highlights of the event was that some of people who were considered to be best dressed on the night were all given a P500 voucher from Spar.

After Friday, the disco event will now go to Francistown for the first time on June 25 at Sedibeng Hotel & Casino. The people of Francistown will also get to enjoy these disco events as they have always been left out.
