Nocky joins a formidable lineup of local MCs among others, Hey Nyeenaah, T.H.A.B.O and Joey Badubi. Nocky burst onto the acting scene with her role as Thobile on popular soapie Uzalo, earning her a Best Supporting Actress award at the Simon Sabela Film and Television Awards. She won over fans with her role and was recognised for her hard work. The star adapted to life on set quickly after graduating from varsity and she is also an MC. Another MC is Theo Botshelo Bome, popularly known as Hey Nyeenaah and is one of the most booked MCs in the country. Hey Nyeenaah is a local entertainer and hype man whose career in the entertainment industry started with a simple vine on a video-sharing focused social networking service Tik-Tok with famous line, “hey nyeenaah’ and went viral.

The young man from Kanye was born in Serowe but raised in Moshupa. To add more spice to the line-up, there is Joey Badubi who started gaining popularity through OverView Radio podcast. Badubi’s OverView Radio is a Podcast station/network and platform that provides and hosts various kinds of Podcasts and features popular societal figures. T.H.A.B.O needs no introduction and he is the only one on the line-up who has been doing the emceeing job for many years.

The Untshwarable hitmaker is also a musician and a radio presenter at RB2. According to the event organisers, the announcement of MCs is just a tip of the iceberg as more announcements will be made in the coming weeks. “Our MCs will bring a high level of professionalism to this event. They will manage the energy of the crowd, timing and flow of the programme.

They will command the stage with confidence and gain the trust of the audience no wonder we brought the best of the best. Combined with performing artists on the day, we want MCs to make Kumnandi Ekhaya Music Fest a memorable event. They are the hype and ringmasters of the musical stage,” read a statement from the organsers. Kumnandi Ekhaya Music Fest is a mastermind of Botswana’s very own international DJ and Uthando hit maker, DJ Ngwazi who returns to his home village of Thamaga this coming independence holidays for a homecoming concert. DJ Ngwazi is based in South Africa and he currently works for musical genius Master KG as his stage DJ. The announcement of the MCs paves way for the Kumnandi Ekhaya Music Fest launch and consequently the line-up of main acts.
