BFL reverses Mamelodi’s suspension

Last week, the BFL had announced Mamelodi was suspended as part of investigations into the chaotic scene that broke out at Royal Aria Stadium during a top of the table clash between Rollers and Gaborone United in February.
The clash degenerated into chaos as fans crammed into the venue, while there was pitch invasion at the end of the game. After announcing Mamelodi’s suspension last week, the BFL has made a spectacular U-turn on its decision. “We refer to the letter dated the 3rd June 2022 in which you were notified of suspension pending disciplinary hearing. We would like to unconditionally withdraw the suspension and withdraw the above letter,” BFL Chief Executive Officer Solomon Ramochotlhwane wrote to Mamelodi. “By virtue of withdrawal, you are free to take part in any matter related to the execution of your manadate and that of your club. We regret the inconvenience caused on the above matters,” Ramochotlhwane added.
