Zebras anchor group but race still wide open

In both matches, the Zebras played bravely but failed to deliver the sucker punch. The results from the two opening matches mean the Zebras are the only team in Group J without a win. Tunisia have set the early pace with four points after a 4-0 shellacking of Equatorial Guinea on opening day and the 0-0 draw against Zebras. Equatorial Guinea recovered from their defeat to Tunisia to beat Libya 2-0 yesterday (Monday) and move second on the log with three points.
Libya are third by virtue of the head-to-head consideration with Equatorial Guinea. The Zebras are still to find the net and their next meeting against Equatorial Guinea away in Malabo in the next match in September is now a make-or-break affair.
