“Following my good performance at Mister Africa Continent, I was eyed by the Mister Atlas International Pageant, of which they invited me to represent Botswana at their upcoming competition to be held in Guatemala City from July 27 to August 1, 2022. It's objective is to look for that gentlemen who will be the voice of the male person. We want to unleash the best in our male counterparts. We know they are intelligent and capable to be role models and game changers in the world,” he said. Mogale added that they wanted to diminish the narratives associated with males in matter of pageantry.

He said it was time the government sees the best in men and support them as per a girl-child being supported and recognised. He explained that he started pageantry at a tender age but never gave it his all at that time. Furthermore, he said as he grew up, he developed lots of love for fashion, seeing himself in runways showcasing different designs and that was when he joined Empire Modeling Agency. He added that he was groomed and perfected by the agency. He is currently a commercial and runway model who is still aiming for greater heights. He participated at Mister Africa Continent, which was held in Accra Ghana. He went there as the Botswana representative and said he was very proud and humble to have raised his country’s flag high as he became the second runner up after South Africa and Nigeria respectively.

He also won himself a best project award, which he was advocating the mentorship of a boy-child, Gender-Based Violence, mental health issues and community charity through Corporate Social Responsibility. The areas of focus are under his project he named ‘The Mindful Movement Campaign.’ “I want to be a statue for my fellow youth. I want them to see that they are capable enough to live their dreams. I have learnt that beauty pageants nature a person, they make one to be a good leader and influencer in the community as we are taught public speaking, which we use to inspire and motivate our fellow youth. The challenges that I am currently facing are sponsorship. It is very difficult to find a sponsor especially when it comes to male pageants,” he said. Moreover, he said men were still not recognised, regardless of the good impact that they had in the society. He explained that since he won the Mister Africa Continent second runner up, their own government failed to show appreciation for having flown the country’s flag high, which still pains him to see male kids not being given that recognition as the girl-child.

He pleaded with the Ministry of Youth, Gender, Sports and Culture, the public and business people to come aboard and help him with donations in order to make his trip to Guatemala successful. “I need air ticket and wardrobe to see myself making it to Guatemala City. Therefore I really plead with the public and business people to really hear my plea. I am even pleading with the designers to come up front to help with the wardrobe, as I will be competing in national costume, formal wear and sports. I will not hesitate to say male pageants are really not supported unlike female pageants. We are really doing our level best to fly our country’s flag high but we are not receiving the recognition,” he said in closing.
