According to Zambwe, the two Kazungula natives from the Chobe area who are also age mates at 22-years were inspired by well-known authors such as Robert Green and Uebert Angel.

Zambwe said through the book, they want to impact the youth to reach their full potential. Zambwe said he is currently studying BSc Environmental Health Science at the University of Botswana (UB) while Makanye is studying BSc (Hons) Journalism at Limkokwing University of Creative Technology.

"It’s a combination of theistic and non-theistic approaches to reaching individual greatness, which impacts not only the individual in question but also impacts the whole country and eventually the world. We went into detail denoting how a lot of people spend a lot of resources such as their talents, money and time on certain weaknesses they have, and these weaknesses are addictions such as pornography, alcohol abuse, social media, fear, etc, and the very well of depression that envelops a lot of adults and youths alike. We started it up by explaining how all these weaknesses are a result of being enticed/tempted. We went into detail on how enticements or temptations work both from a Christian standpoint and from a psychological logical scientific standpoint," he explained.

Zambwe further pointed out that they were inspired by the potential that the youth of Botswana possess but is going to waste. Furthermore, he said Batswana youth could compete on a global scale. He added that they had a lot of sharp minds in Botswana who could compete intellectually with countries like China, India, UK, USA, if they did not squander their talents on addictions and spend a lot of time struggling with such weaknesses.

He said since most of the youth spend most of their time and energy at the bars and social media, they should be shown how to use those very weaknesses to reach their full potential whilst also overcoming their weakness. He added that they wanted Batswana to compete on a global scale hence their decision to write this book.

For his part, Makanye explained that they initially wrote the book as a teaching mechanism for all individuals, but realised that it brought more life as an inspirational or motivational book because they had one of their readers who was suicidal but felt better and wanted to do more in life after reading it. He pointed out that it was then that they decided to go with a motivational book.

"We wrote this book to inspire people of all ages to be innovative and excel in their respective fields, because just because you did not change the course of history when you were 30 years does not mean you cannot change it when you are older. We wanted to get this word out especially to the youths who can compete on a global scale. Honestly speaking, we want every youth in the world to get this. Even the teenagers, if they are equipped with this knowledge, once they turn 25 years of age they will be business tycoons," he said.

Blockers of Destiny has six chapters and 75 pages. It’s basically a booklet. The message is relative to the reader. It was published by Show Casing Talents on April 8, 2022.

Moreover, he explained that writing a book was not easy. He said the printing process took a very long time, while they had a lot of financial constraints to pay for publishing. However, they succeeded after calling in favours from family and friends.
