The competition has historically dished good memories, including moments where big teams choked in sight of glory whilst the lower league teams claimed the giant slayer status. The round of 32 will bring some bit of thrill, as the elite league sides make their bow in this season’s edition. This round will serve some exciting ties.

The question now is, will the giants get slayed or will they stamp their authority over the minnows? It all begins this evening at the Serowe Sports Complex where Premier League side, Sua Flamingoes, visit second-tier team Tsabotlhe in their backyard. The pair have met a couple of times in the First Division with the visitors coming into the evening tie with a better record over their opponents, something Tsabotlhe would look to change.

At the National Stadium, season one finalist, Township Rollers face Gilport Lions in a rather tricky affair. Popa may have dominated the contest over the past few seasons but the Lions will aim for a scalp in what will be their only second win over the Blues. On Saturday, the Serowe Sports Complex will host a doubleheader with BIUST All-Stars taking on Red Sparks in the afternoon before Miscellaneous and Police XI square off in an evening kick-off. Matebele FC is to host Prisons XI at the SSG grounds while Notwane and TAFIC will renew a long-standing rivalry in a tie to be played at the National Stadium. From eliminating Masitaoka, Mochudi Centre Chiefs are eyeing another upset against Security Systems in an evening kick-off in the National Stadium. Motaung Young Fighters are in for a battle of their life as they welcome high riding Gaborone United at the Mahusane Primary Grounds in Kang.

The Reds will enter unfamiliar territory and are not leaving any stone unturned after a series of friendly games against lower division sides on dusty grounds. The Saturday FA Cup action will continue at the Semolale grounds as Peace Makers meet Eleven Angels. Chadibe FC will host Calendar Stars at the Chadibe grounds.

The Lobatse Sports Complex will be home to a doubleheader as Molepolole City Stars take on BDF XI in the afternoon before Kgabosetso and Gunners face off in the evening.

The Sam Sono Stadium hosts two in-form teams, Nico United and Mahalapye Railway Highlanders on Sunday afternoon. Orapa United are in for a test as they visit Holy Ghost at the Ghost Park in Mmopane while URI Black Forest and Morupule Wanderers meet at Forest grounds. Mogoditshane Fighters will be home away from home as they take on Jwaneng Galaxy at the Galaxy Stadium. All the afternoon games will kick off at 3:30pm while the evening ties will start at 7pm.
