Former president Khama summoned for criminal charges

In an unprecedented charge sheet, the four high profile figures face a total of 38 charges ranging from illegal acquisition, unlawful possession, and stealing of firearms.

Kgosi’s charges have been increased to 20, while Khama, Makgophe and Paledi each face 13, three and two respectively.

The four accused are expected to appear before the Broadhurst Magistrate Court tomorrow (Thursday).

Former president has been in self imposed exile in South Africa ever since the investigation led by the Directorate of Intelligence Service. It remains to be seen whether he will appear in court tomorrow.
