The author says he has been gifted with a rare skill of interpreting people's dreams, the skill he got from his mother Nkhabe Ntsobi, who was a legendary dreams interpreter.

Ntsobi, now 43-years-old, also says he began having deep dreams while he was still a child as early as four-years-old. He further reveals that even his child has been gifted with this family heirdom skill to interpret dreams.

Ntsobi, who hails from Mahalapye but now resides in Mogoditshane, said he decided to write a book about the dreams interpretation to help people understand their dreams.

“Many people dream all sorts of things while sleeping but they do not know the meanings of their dreams. This book therefore is aimed to help those people to deduce the meanings of those dreams. If you know the meaning of your dream you would heal and avoid anxieties and that is what this book is intended to achieve,” he said.

Ntsobi has compiled 300 dream scenarios and briefly explained what they could mean.

The central themes in Ntsobi’s dream compilation are witchcraft, human relations, and African traditions. Ntsobi says this is because his dream interpretations are guided by African heritage and Christianity.

The following are some of the meanings of various dreams according to Ntsobi’s Thanolo Ya Ntlha Ya Ditoro:

- When you dream of a chicken happily playing with a dog, it means that your wife/girlfriend is cheating with a police officer, but things are not going well with them.

- When you dream wearing a leopard skin, it means you would soon get married, or given some great respect.

- When you see your ex-partner in the dream, dirty and wanting to talk you, it means he/she is regretting losing you.

- When you dream about someone trying to splash you with water but you realise that the water is actually a bat’s urine, it means your witch is trying to make you deaf.

- When you dream about thieves chasing you with knives, it means the people that know you are fighting you.

- When you see yourself inside a classroom together with students writing an examination, it means you are in your final class before graduating as a traditional doctor.

- When you see a spear tearing through your home, the dream means witches are attacking you.

- When you dream of someone throwing bicycle handles at you and the handles suddenly make sparks, it means witches are sending you lightning.

- When you hear drum sounds in the dark, it is actually a warning of something bad that is about to happen, and it could be a tragic death caused by jealous friends or family members.

- When you dream about kicking a cow calf on the stomach and then in the morning an old lady comes to you saying you have injured their child, it means they are using that child as a witch.

- When you dream some people holding you down and sniffing your private parts, it means people are trying to curse you.

- When you dream of a chicken without feathers coming you way, that means your ex-partner is struggling with life, and he/she is wishing for your back love.

- When you see yourself inside a thatched hut with guns inside, the dream means that you are in a place where there is muti.

- When you dream singing for church members, it means you are boasting for witches.

- When you find yourself on board a white vehicle that is refusing to move, the dream means you are defying death, or you are healing after critical illness

- When you dream crying, it means the opposite, that you will be happy.

Ntsobi says he offers some dream interpretations. He explained that the process is not immediate like traditional doctors or prophets. His service takes time as he could be told a dream and the explanation will reveal to himself few days later.

Ntsobi says he wishes to have dream forums where he could teach and share with members of the public about the significance of dreams in life. Thanolo Ya Ntlha Ya Ditoro is available for sale from the author at P250 per copy and could be contacted at +267 74772669.
