The show, headlined by veteran Kwasa kwasa muso Frank ‘Franco’ Lesokwane was a success, with multitudes filing up the 25,000 capacity National Stadium. Interestingly to its credit, the show had an all-local line-up.

The attendance for the festival has sparked debate as to how many revellers graced the event and whether it could have been the biggest crowd for a local event in recent times. Although organisers were still busy trying to tally the tickets by press time, the Soul Fill Up With Franco public relations officer, Exotic Sebina confirmed that they had sold over 20,000 tickets for the festival. “We can’t say exactly how many tickets were sold or the attendance because we are still trying to tally things up especially with regard to tickets sales at Liquorama bottle stores. No, I was checking Liquorama bottle stores.

They are still collecting. I guess they will finish by end of today so that we can give you real numbers.

However, I can certainly tell you that we sold more than 20,000 tickets for this festival,” he said. Sebina did not want to be drawn into discussing if the festival attracted the biggest crowd in recent times saying that could be done once the exact numbers have been revealed. Franco had revealed during his first press conference when he announced the festival that he is targeting between 15,000 and 20,000 people at his Soul Fill Up with Franco music festival.

Franco’s festival came just a weekend after South African artist Makhadzi successfully filled up the Royal Aria Stadium in Tlokweng during her One Woman Show. Organisers of the show revealed that at least 25,000 people attended the event. Last year in December, the Pretty Girls Love Amapiano festival organised by Exzozo Entertainment held at the Royal Aria Stadium was also praised after it attracted an impressive crowd.

The Soul Fill Up With Franco festival tickets were selling at P150 standard and P1,500 VIP. Commentators have already concluded that Franco has become an instant millionaire following his successful festival.
