The event is scheduled for April 16, 2022 at Two Nine Farm. Event coordinator and promoter, Omphile Makholwa who goes by the stage name MrGiven, said the picnic will offer patrons a moment to refresh and rewind while enjoying cool music throughout an inimitable experience. “On behalf of my crew, we have decided to host this picnic event, Esibayeni Lifestyle, as a way to encourage people to refresh, family and friends come together and also to encourage local businesses especially the youth-owned businesses to sell their services.

These businesses includes but not limited services, foods and beverages, kids corner, adventure, clothing and brands,” he said. Furthermore, he explained that: “Our aim and vision for this picnic event is creating an unforgettable experience full of enjoyment, engagement, learning and excitement. What better way to do this than through a carefully selected blend of entertainment and acts, of which our youth adhere to or are attracted to.

Security will be very tight. We will be having a mixture of professional security bodies and local youth to encourage them into being professional security services providers," he explained. Makholwa also pointed out that the host place was very open with lighting everywhere for visibility and good parking space.

He added that their security personnel will be seen everywhere during the event, right from the entrance, parking and inside the venue to make sure that everyone is safe including their belongings. He stated that the security will also ensure that revelers abide by the COVID-19 protocols. The artistes that will be performing at the event include DJ Zoltax from South Africa, Nicoe3, BJB, Tumi LA Groovas, Newzy Africa, Ace Tornado, Kusere, Verlaty, Coopers, DJ Percec and Gosso.

That event will be hosted twice a year (first and last half of the year). However, he explained that might change depending on the response and demand by the revellers and the event’s growth.

He added that they were putting all their focus and efforts on growing Esibayeni Lifestyle and will not be hosting other events. “The biggest challenge in preparation for this event is lack of sponsorship, as currently we financing it ourselves and we do not have such money for such big event, but we soldier on and deliver to our revellers.

We hope sponsors will come on board after maybe seeing the future of this event. Some people believe in seeing first before they can sponsor and I can guarantee them they will not be disappointed and they will wish they would have come on board well in time,” he added. Tickets are sold as follows: Early Bird P70 (limited), P100 normal and P130 at the gate. The event starts at 10am till late.
