The district Criminal Investigation Department (CID) officer, superintendent Bannetse Baakile told The Monitor that the duo, aged 24 and 29, of Mahalapye village were arrested in possession of stolen goods.

“They were found in possession of electronics like television sets, decoders and clothes. Both incidents occurred in Mahalapye over the weekend. The duo is likely to be arraigned before Mahalapye Magistrate's Court today,” he said. Baakile further raised concern over the rise in housebreaking and theft incidents in the area.

He said what worries him is the fact that the duo even repeated offences of break-ins. He pleaded with members of the community to maximise the security of their homes to protect their valuables.
